1. Introduction & Core Philosophy

Welcome to RIC — Remember It Clearly ("we", "our", or "the App"). We believe that your personal memories, photos, thoughts, saved places, and tasks belong exclusively to you.

RIC is built on a privacy-first, local-first architecture. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell your personal content on external cloud servers. Everything you save in RIC stays securely on your personal device.

2. Information You Create and Manage

When you use RIC, you may store various types of information locally on your device:

• Photos & Screenshots: Images and screenshots you import from your library or take with your camera, including custom memory tags and notes.
• Saved Places: Addresses, location names, and notes for places such as home, work, cafes, or travel destinations.
• Ideas & Notes: Thoughts, brainstorms, concepts, color-coded sticky notes, and pinned notes.
• Todos & Reminders: Personal tasks, checklist items, priority levels, due dates, and reminder schedules.

All of the above information is stored solely in your device's local application storage sandbox and is not accessible to us or third parties.

3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

To provide core functionality, the App may request the following permissions:

• Photo Library Access: Required only when you select photos or screenshots from your library to save into your memory vault.
• Camera Access: Required only when you choose to take a new photo directly within the App.
• Local Notifications: Required only to deliver local on-device alert reminders for tasks you have scheduled. No promotional or marketing notifications are ever sent.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your device's system Settings.

4. Data Storage, Security & Backup

Your data is stored locally within the App's protected sandbox directory on your iOS or Android device. Your memories are as secure as your personal device (protected by your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID).

If you back up your device using standard operating system backup tools (such as Apple iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backup), your local app data will be included as part of your standard encrypted device backup.

5. Third-Party Services & Analytics

RIC does not include third-party advertising networks, analytics trackers, or data-broker SDKs. We do not track your browsing habits, location history, or usage patterns.

When you use the "Open Maps" feature on a saved location, the App opens your device's default navigation application (such as Apple Maps) directly via standard system URL schemes.

6. Your Data Rights & Deletion

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:

• Edit & Update: You can edit any photo title, tag, address, idea, or task whenever you want.
• Delete: Deleting an entry in the App immediately and permanently purges it from your local device storage.
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling the App from your device removes all locally stored application data.

7. Children's Privacy

RIC does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is transmitted from the App, children can use the App safely under parental guidance.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements or changes in our services. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
